The IPL spot-fixing case seems to worsen with every passing day as some of the media reports have suggested that ICC had warned BCCI about Gurunath Meiyappan’s link with the bookies.
According to some media reports, ICC had informed the Indian cricket board about Meiyappan before the start of the sixth season of IPL. After the transcripts of the conversation between Vindoo Dara Singh and Meiyappan were accessed, it was revealed that Meiyappan was advising Vindoo to be vigilant about his dealings and he also told him that “ICC has warned BCCI about me.”
The former CSK boss was giving certain orders to Vindoo on the amounts to be placed. The transcript also shows Meiyappan instructing Vindoo about certain players and even about specific runs in an over.
