Day 1 of the IPL auction concluded earlier today with Yuvraj Singh grabbing the headlines for the highest price tag, 14 crores to be precise. There were some surprises as big name players such as Ross Taylor, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Mahela Jayawardene and Brett Lee went unsold despite the fact that their base price was at most 2 crores.
A total of 145 capped players still remain unsold and will get their opportunity tomorrow.
