The 31-year-old British-Zimbabwean actor became an overnight sensation following the release of Netflix series, which was the first project to come from award-winning director and showrunner Shonda Rhimes’ multimillion-dollar deal with the streaming network. On the steamy show, set in 19th-century England, Page plays the dashing bachelor Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings, whose romance with debutant Daphne Bridgerton becomes the source of hot gossip spread by the mysterious columnist, Lady Whistledown.

Page’s appearance marks his first time on SNL, however, the cast of the long-running comedy series have already poked fun at the Regency drama since its Netflix release. The cast created their own hilarious theme song for the show—calling out all the steamy sex scenes and ’90s screensaver set designs—during an SNL episode that aired in January.

SNL’s Chloe Fineman even delivered a comical impersonation of Daphne—played on the show by Phoebe Dynevor—which she shared on Instagram in January. It wouldn’t be too surprising if Fineman put on her braided-crown and ball gown for another Bridgerton spoof during Page’s upcoming appearance.

Who is performing?

Grammy nominated artist and global superstar Bad Bunny is set to take over the SNL stage. While it will mark his first SNL performance, this won’t be the first time the Puerto Rican rapper has appeared on SNL.

In 2020, Bad Bunny was featured in Kenan Thompson’s “Big Papi Cooking Show” sketch, in which Thompson played Boston Red Sox player David Ortiz. Bunny made a cameo in the video as Thompson’s cousin, Big Bunny, who sold “big a** pots” and sweatpants.

When does SNL air?

Page and Bunny will appear on SNL when it airs on NBC during it’s usual time slot on Saturday night at 11:30 p.m. ET.

Can SNL be live-streamed?

Viewers without access to television don’t have to worry about missing Page’s SNL debut or Bunny’s performance, because they can live-stream the show on NBC’s website or app. A cable provider login is necessary to access the stream. Those with services like Hulu +Live, Sling TV and YouTube TV can also catch the show in real time through their subscriptions.

Clips of the episode will be available for view on SNL’s YouTube after the show for those only interested in the best sketches and skits of the night. And as always, there will be plenty of chatter that folks can keep up with during the show by following the social media hashtag, #SNL.
